When Trying to Logon to FDM Web, Users Receive the Error Message:"Error: Please run the Setup Manager and Load Balance Specify a username and password for DCOM."

Symptoms

When accessing the FDM Web client the following error is returned:
The drop down list for applications is blank.

Cause

The load balance server specified on the "Load Balance Server" tab of the FDM Web Configuration Manager has not been configured with the proper FDM Service Account username/password.

Solution

1. Logon to the FDM Application Server in the environment and launch the Load Balance Config Manager (All Programs -> Oracle EPM System -> Financial Data Quality Management -> Load Balance Manager -> Load Balance Configuration ->)

2. On the General Tab, enter the FDM DCOM service account username/password/confirm password/domain

3. Click on the application servers tab and verify that the application server name is entered and spelled properly

4. Click on the authentication provider tab and verify that an authentication provider exists.  Edit the provider and perform a logon test to verify a valid provider connection
