Symptoms

Error:" Component 'MoveData Error Number: XXXXXXXX'" when installing Hyperion Enterprise

Where XXXXXXXX may be any numeric value.

This error may occur at any stage of the installation.

The installation aborts.

Changes

An installation is run from downloaded media or legacy CD ROM.

Cause

The installation media is corrupt or the installation process cannot write files to the target machine.

Solution

1. Verify file integrity of source media (can this media be installed on a different machine).
2. Download the media again if integrity issues suspected.
3. Check the user identity running the install has Administrator rights on the target machine.
4. Ensure all users are out of the systems on the client or server machine being installed to.
