Cause

In the Path statement in the System Environment Variables the paths to the directories where the executables for Hyperion Enterprise Reporting and Hyperion Enterprise are stored were not placed at the beginning of the path.
The client had two paths to reporting specified in the Path statement in the System Environment Variables.

Solution

The path statement must contain only one reference to the Hyperion Enterprise Reporting folder, and this should be at the beginning of the path. 

If there was an earlier version on the same machine in a different folder then it is vital that references to the old programs be removed completely.
