SYMPTOMS

HFM data is not synchronizing after metadata load has added new application member(s)

CHANGES

This issue has been identified in all versions of HFM

CAUSE

Cause identified as Unpublished Bug 26864635 - data from newly added metadata member not showing on second server

In rare case where metadata load is performed to add new members to the application and data is immediately entered on the same HFM application server that performed the metadata load while another HFM application server has users viewing the same Point Of View (POV). Users on the second server will be prompted to log out due to system change. Upon logging in again, these users will see the newly added metadata member but will not see the newly added data.

SOLUTION

Unpublished Bug 26864635 is first addressed in HFM 11.1.2.4.205 PSE Patch 26969897.  For list of all current HFM patches, please review Available Patch Sets and Patch Set Updates for Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Hyperion Tax Provision (HTP) Document 1321453.1.

As a quick workaround, HFM applications would need to be stopped and restarted on all HFM application servers to ensure data is synchronized properly.
