When running FR reports on Workspace, “View in PDF” will show “Processing” and eventually time-out.Cause
The cause of the problem seems to be an issue with the German version of Hyperion Enterprise.
A script related to the GPO and associated fixes for Windows Print Spooler service known as PrintNightmare.
The fix causes disruption on the way FR Print Servers operate as a series of virtual PDF Printers, behind the Print Server/Spooler service.
The particular PrintNightmare mitigation that seems to affect this is setting an ACL to restrict access for the Local System account to the Spooler folder on the Windows system drive

Reversing the ACL fix will resolve this issue and it can be replaced with the Remote Connection fix because the second fix won't impact the communication between web server and the HR printers.
Such fixes should be applied to DEV environments before rolling into production.
