Internal Error after POV has been selected in Manage Task Flows

Symptoms

After pressing OK or Cancel button in the POV selection screen for the URL type in Stage Edit function in Manage Taskflows a blank page or 500 internal error is displayed

Location in FM is : Manage Taskflows-> New -> Stage Edit Screen -> Processing->Action=Calculate ->Type= URL -> Edit

Cause

1. FQDN needs to be added to the trusted sites in Internet Explorer

2. FQDN URL entry needed for the EIEServer Windows registry key on the FM application server

Solution

1. Set FQDN Access URL to intranet security sites in IE option and add IP mapping to hosts

2. Change the following key to the FQDN instead of the NetBIOS (short) name:

 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Hyperion Solutions\Hyperion Financial Management\Web\HyperionEIEServer 

i.e. HyperionEIEServer= http://xxxx:7777/ to HyperionEIEServer= http://xxxx.xxx.xxx.xxxx:7777/
