Error at Line 45 Browsing to the Target System in the Financial Data Quality Management (FDM) Maps

Symptoms

When I am trying to browse to the target application within the mapping table in FDM via the Activities->Maps menu item, the following error occurs: "Error at line:45".

Cause

This type of issue tends to appear if the adapter has not been registered on the FDM application server or the adapter has not been configured.  In the Fusion version (11.1.1.1) of FDM, the adapter is an installable component and runs as a com+ object on the FDM application server. The Adapter must be:

a) Installed using the EPM installer

b) Configured using the FDM Service account

Solution

1. Launch the Installer (InstallTool.cmd) and in the "Installation Type", select "Reinstall this release"
2. Choose components individually, click "next" and click to expand "FDM (11.1.1.1.0 Installed)".
3. Make sure that "FDM Server Financial Management Adapter" is selected .
4. Click Next to complete the installation of the adapter
5. Launch the FDM Workbench Client and login to the FDM application experiencing the issue.
6. Choose File/Import and browse to Hyperion\products\FinancialDataQualityFinancialDataQuality\Adapters\FM11x-G5-A select the FM11x-G5-A.xml file and click "Open"
7. Click the "Select All" button and click OK to import the adapter

**Note: Only perform steps 1-7 if the adapter has not been installed.

1. Expand the Target System Adapters and verify that the FM11x-G5A adapter exists.  If it does exist right-click on the adapter and choose "Configure"
2. You will be prompted to enter the FDM Service Account ID/Password/Domain.  Fill in these values and click OK
3. Choose File/Register Adapter and browse to Hyperion\Products\Financial Data Quality\Adapters\FM11x-G5A\fdmFM11xG5A\ and select the fdmFM11xG5A.dll file and click Open.

This process will register the adapter on the server.  Once this process has been completed, attempt to browse for a target value in the mapping table again in FDM and the HFM account list will be returned successfully.
