FDM Check Report Returns Periodic Values in Hyperion Enterprise When Requesting YTD

FDM Check Report Returns Periodic Values in Hyperion Enterprise When Requesting YTD

  Modified 06-MAY-2010     Type PROBLEM

Applies to:

Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management - Version: 11.1.1.1.00<max_ver> and later   [Release: 11.1 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When attempting to retrieve a value for a target intersection from Hyperion Enterprise for the FDM Check Report, the value that is returned is always the Periodic value and not the CAT/YTD value in Enterprise.  Hard coding the view in the validation rule to CAT or YTD still returns periodic values.

Cause

The cause of the issue is a unpublished bug (6578866) in the HE6x-G4-D adapter.  This version of the adapter contains a bug which only retrieves Periodic data from Enterprise, no matter what view is specified in the validation rule builder.  The issue has been resolved in the HE6x-G4-E adapter which is supported for use with FDM 9.3.1-11.1.1.3

Solution

   A) Download the Adapter Suite for FDM version 11.1.1.3 from E-Delivery
B) Extract the contents of the adapter suite to extract the HE6xG4E.zip file, extract the contents of the .zip file
C) Import the HE6xG4E.xml file into the FDM application using the File/Import functionality in the workbench client.
D) Choose File/Register Adapter and copy the upsHE6xG4E.exe file to the Hyperion/Products/FinancialDataQuality/SharedComponents folder and open the file to register it.
E) Sync the adapter with the current HE6xG4D adapter
F) Choose Administration > Application Settings and set the system code to HE6xG4E
