Symptoms

Unable to launch the FDM WebConfig Manager.  Receive the following error:
Make sure Internet Information Server is installed and ASP.NET applications are allowed.

The following error occurred:
Cannot create ActiveX component.

Cause

Appropriate Windows 2008 Server Roles have not bee installed/configured

Solution

Obtain access from an IT Administrator to review/install all the required roles:
1. Application Server (.Net)
2. IIS6 Metabase
3. IIS Web Server
