Modified 26-JAN-2010 Type PROBLEM |
Applies to:
Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management - Version: 8.1.2.0.00 to 11.1.1.0.00 - Release: 8.1 to 11.1Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When running the Export Step of the FDM work flow to load data to the HFM target system the Export fails and returned the error: "Could not Authenticate the Specified User. %0 .Cause
The %0 is the key indication for this note.
The user logged into FDM with the domain field (NTLM) populated. HFM is setup to use MSAD authentication.
FDM may be setup with MSAD and ignores the domain field, but what is used to log into FDM is passed to the target system. When HFM receives the Domain\user name and password values, the login fails with the %0 error message returned.
Solution
Logged into the HFM client with exact same credentials (Domain/UserID/Password) that were used for FDM and received the exact same error.
To resolve the issue the end user will need to login to the FDM web client with the domain field left empty.a) Launch FDM (http://servername/hyperionfdm)
b) Select the FDM application to log into and enter a valid username and password leaving the domain field empty
c) Click "Logon" to login to the application
d) Change the Point of View bar to the location/period/category that returned the error
e) Click the "Export" fish to re-run the export work flow, the load screen is successfully returned and the data is successfully loaded and returns a gold fish for a success status.
