Cannot Load Data From FDM To HFM With Drillable Region Load Integration Option Enabled

Symptoms

When the "Enable Drillable Regions" integration option is enabled within the FDM integration settings menu, the load process to HFM is failing.  The load returns the error:

Cause

Currently the FDM application path is specified as a local path on the FDM application server:

C:\Hyperion\FDMShare\FDM

In order for FDM to be able to create the archive file in the data folder, HFM must be able to read from this directory.  Since this is a local path the path is invalid and results in the "Stream Failed, invalid file path provided" error message.

Solution

a) Launch the FDM Workbench Client
b) Choose <add Application> and login
c) Highlight the "FDM" application and click "modify"
d) Update the application path to \\servername\FDMSHARE\FDM and click OK to save the change.
e) Locate the FDMSHARE on the c:\ drive and right-click selecting "properties"
f) Click on the Sharing tab and click "permissions"
g) Add the FDM Service Account and any user who will be using the workbench and grant "Change" permissions.  Click OK

*Note: If the HFM DCOM account is different than the FDM Service account, it also must be granted Change permission to the FDM application share.
