Symptoms

Getting Error -ORA Error 00911 OR IDispatch error #3902

If the Event log is enabled in the application for Database logging -Data,Meta Data,Security and reports. Then this error comes up. 

Cause

This can be seen from Enterprise server administration-> advanced settings ->APP_TABLE_LOG_NAME->DATABASE LOGGING OPTIONS will start with symbol "_" (Underscore) 

Solution

Removing the special character in the Database name will fix the issue.

Note:This will also occur due to & (Ampersand Symbol)
