Symptoms


When converting an application to version 6.5.1, at the start of the conversion an error box appears stating 'Invalid Pointer' ..When 'OK' is clicked the conversion process continues and the resulting 6.5.1. application contains all expected data elements

Cause

There is an unpublished bug logged 9131586 - INVALID POINTER MESSAGE IS DISPLAYED WHILE HE APP CONVERSION to correct this message in a future release.

Solution

Development have confirmed that in the circumstance where the error is seen but the conversion proceeds and all categories of data are present. The error can be ignored.
