Symptoms

When importing a gl file into FDM I am receiving the error

"Bulk load data conversion error (type mismatch or invalid character for the specified codepage) for row 1, column 45 (Amount)."

Cause

The regional settings for the FDM Service Account are set to Netherlands rather than English (US).

Solution

1) Log onto the FDM server using the user id specified in the Configuration Managers (Start-> Programs-> Hyperion ->Financial Data Quality Management -> Application Server-> Application Server Config)

2) Start -> Control Panel -> Regional and Language Settings -> Update the Regional setting value from Netherlands to English(US).

3) Save the changes.
