Symptoms

When attempting to run server based consolidation on an enterprise application the following error occurs: "Error sending message. Winsock error code 10038" 

Cause

The enterprise application is not listed in the hypent.ini on the enterprise application server

Solution

To add the application to the hypent.ini on the application server launch enterprise from the application server and refer to document 580746.1
