Change FDMEE Database Connection Details

SOLUTION

Change the Connection Details in the Following Places:

  1. ODI Master Repository URL in the FDMEE System Settings
    1. Navigate -> Administer -> Data Management -> Setup Tab -> Configure -> System Settings
    2. Change Profile Type to "ODI"
    3. Update Connection Details
    4. Click "Save"
  2. odiMasterRepository & odiWorkRepository JDBC Data Source in Web Logic Admin Console
    • Services -> Data Sources -> aif_datasource, odiMasterRepository, odiWorkRepository
      1. Configuration -> Connection Pool
      2. Click "Lock & Edit"
      3. Change Connection Details
      4. Click Save
      5. Click "Activate Changes"
  3. ODI Work Repository Connection
    1. Create from ODI Studio a new login connection only to the Master Repository
    2. Once successfully connected, select from the left hand side tree the 'Repositories Panel'
    3. Drill down to Work Repositories
    4. Double click on the Repository to edit it.
    5. Right above the Definition there is a button (that looks like an electrical plug), for the Connection. Click it.
    6. A new window opens where one can see the Definition again, and right below the JDBC. Click that one, and provide the right server information
  4. Physical Schema in ODI Topology
    1. Connect with ODI Studio to the FDMEE Work Repository
    2. Topology -> Physical Architecture -> Technologies
    3. Oracle Database
      • Oracle -> Double Click "FDMEE_DATA_SERVER
    4. Microsoft Database
      • Microsoft SQL Server -> Double Click "FDMEE_DATA_SERVER_MSSQL"
    5. Definition Tab -> Change User and Pssword
    6. JDBC Tab -> Verify Driver and URL

Once all of the above steps have been updated restart the FDMEE Services.
