Introduction
This is a high-level list of the most common solutions to the issue of OneStream Excel Add-In not launching when Excel is opened on an end users PC. These are listed in order from most likely to least likely to resolve the issue.

Step by Step Instructions
1. Reinstall Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime. The link to the latest version can be found here: Microsoft Download Link
2. Open Microsoft Excel then open a blank Workbook and login to the OneStream Add-In prior to opening any other Excel Workbook Files.
3. With internal IT help / permission change the Load Behavior for the OneStream Add-in. Changing Load Behaviour Steps
4. Uninstall the OneStream Add-in via Windows Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs and then reinstall as an administrator. (Right-click Setup file and select 'Run as Administrator'). Be sure to choose the proper installation option based on the version of Excel that is in use. If using Excel 2010 or higher select the default option of installing 'For all users', if using Excel 2007 select the option of installing 'This User Only'.
5. Apply all Windows and Office Updates (Office updates might need to be enabled for further details see Applying Office Updates )
6. Disable any other Add-Ins via Options - Add-Ins and then login to the OneStream Excel Add-in. Once logged in, re-enable the alternative Add-In. Refer to the following knowledge base article: XFInternalSetConnectionInfo Error
7. Uninstall the OneStream Excel Add-In, and sign out of Windows. Login to the PC with a local Administrator account and install the Add-In as Administrator. Then run a Quick Repair on Office via Windows Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs, select Microsoft Office, then from the menu bar click Change. The Office pop-up window gives you the option to select Quick Repair.
8. Uninstall the OneStream Excel Add-in and create a new install directory (e.g. C:\OneStream). Then install the Add-In to the new directory and test the Add-In now works. To change the installation directory select the Custom option when running the installer.
