Symptoms
Type Mismatch Error on LogonWhen attempting to login to FDM, users are receiving an error message:
"Error 13 - Type Mismatch"
The login is unsuccessful and users are unable to access the FDM application. This is company wide and is not user specific.
Cause
When the users are receiving the error 13 - type mismatch, this is due to the authentication provider being unable to verify the users credentials. The users id/pwd are sent to the authentication provider set in the FDM Load Balance Configuration and the result is a failure from the provider which results in a response of type mismatch.
Performed Logon Test:
1) Start > Programs > Hyperion > Financial Data Quality Management > Load Balance Manager > Load Balance Configuration
2) Click on the Authentication Provider Tab
3) Highlight the first authentication provider in the list and click "Modify"
4) Click the "Logon Test" button and enter in a valid user/password.
5) Receive error that it is unable to bind to the directory.
Solution
Update MSAD Provider
1) Choose Start > Programs > Hyperion > Financial Data Quality Management > Load Balance Manager > Load Balance Configuration
2) Click on the Authentication Providers tab and highlight the first provider in the list clicking the "Modify" button
3) Update the Authentication provider as appropriate.
4) Perform a logon test to verify that "Logon successful" is returned.
5) Click OK and on the general tab enter the service account password to save the changes.
