Symptoms

When a connection into the target system is required, FDM returns the error message: "Machine profile for machine [ServerName] is missing"

Cause

The Machine Profile is missing from the Adapter setup in the Workbench Win32 Client.

Solution

You will need to use the Workbench Win32 Client to create the missing machine profile to complete integration.

Each FDM Server that is required to participate as an Application Server and make a connection into the target system, requires a machine profile. This error is telling you that this requirement is not met and the machine profile is missing.  Please refer to the FDM Administrator Guide for information on creating machine profiles.
