Symptoms

When trying to make a connection to Hyperion Enterprise from FDM an error occurs with the following message:  "Error: Connection Error: Domain is Missing"

Cause

Hyperion Enterprise does not support native NTLM style authentication, but by default other Hyperion products that FDM integrates with do.  Since the scripting/coding for the Enterprise adapter has to conform to the other standards, it has a field for 'domain' but isn't populated/required.

Solution

Simply place the servername from the 'Source Machine' into the domain field of the Machine Profile.  Since the coding requires the Domain to be populated, but the Enterprise software doesn't require it.  It will not harm/change anything and provide a solution to the issue.
