No Color Coding To Signify Fdm Intersection Validation Errors | |||||

Modified 30-SEP-2010 Type PROBLEM |
Applies to:
Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management - Version: 11.1.2.0.00<max_ver> and later [Release: 11.1 and later ]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
When validating in FDM v11.1.2 using the FM11x-G5-D adapter the Intersection Check Report is returned at the validate step of the FDM Workflow with errors. The errors returned do not contain any color coding to specify why the intersections are not valid. There is a color coding matrix on the form but this is not being applied to the intersections in the report.Cause
Unidentified Failure Code ReturnedCurrently the XML file that is generated for the intersection validation report contains the return code of "UF" which represents "Unidentified Failure". This is caused by HFM not returning back a result of "Intersection is Locked", "Cannot Write", or "Invalid Intersection". Without a valid return code, the report does not indicate what color to place on the invalid intersections, so the report simply returns the intersection records without any color coding to indicate the issue.
Solution
Workaround:a) Administration > Integration Settings
b) Disable the Intersection validation report option and save
c) Run the validate to receive a gold fish and click Export/Load to return the load errors
d) Address the mapping issues
