Applies to:
Hyperion Planning - Version: 9.3.1.0.00 and later [Release: 9.3 and later ]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Symptoms
Starting a metadata upload via ODI Designer causes the error message "Driver must be specified".
Planning application uses Enterprise Performance Management Architect (EPMA).
Cause
Planning application uses EPMAODI only works with Classic Applications.
Solution
Write to EPMA Interface tables instead.
You should be familiar with the section in 'Oracle Hyperion Enterprise Performance Management Architect, Administrator's Guide' (epma_admin.pdf) entitled 'Using Interface Tables'.
1. Start off by defining/creating interface tables using the Configuration Utility.
2. In EPMA, create an Import Profile, mapping the interface tables correctly.
3. Once all this is set up and working, you start to load into the tables from ODI. You need to update the relevant tables, e.g. for Entities you need to update the HS_ENTITY_* tables. New members would have to be added to the HS_ENTITY_MEMBER and HS_ENTITY_HIERARCHY tables, and their properties to HS_Entity_PropertyArray and HS_Entity_Property tables.
