Goal
In previous releases of Planning, we would set a data type in the Accounts dimension to Currency, Non-currency or Percentage. Planning would only allow the Accounts dimension to determine the data type on the cell.
How is this done in 9.3.0.1?
Solution
With the 9.3.0.1 release of Planning, the user is able to set the data type of any dimension and Planning determines the data type based on evaluation order.
By default, the evaluation type is not set on any dimension (no evaluation order). In order to set the data type to match the old version of Planning, the user would need to login to the Planning application, go to the Administration menu and select Dimensions. Then go to the tab called 'Evaluation Order' and select Accounts as the Selected Dimension. This would allow the data type of the Accounts dimension members to determine how the data is displayed.
