Missing Menu Items in EPMA application - Load Rules, Load Metadata, Extract Metadata

Symptoms

In an EPMA application, the following menu items are missing:

Under Tasks, Load Tasks, there is no menu item for Load Rules or Load Metadata.

Under Tasks, Extract Tasks, there is no menu item for Extract Metadata.

Cause

These menu items are missing because these functions are handled differently in an EPMA application, compared with a classic HFM application.

Solution

In an EPMA application:

1. To load rules, deploy rules from either the Application Library or Calculation Manager.
   
2. To load metadata, deploy the application from the Application Library.
   
3. To extract metadata, use the EPMA File Generator and the "From EPMA Application" tab.
