GOAL By default, FDM loads data as YTD to target systems (HFM, Essbase). This article will show you how to load data as Periodic.

SOLUTION

#1 Launch Workbench and log in to the FDM Application

#2 In the Bottom left-hand corner, click on the Adapter tab

#3 In the Upper right-hand corner, Expand the Target System Adapters

#4 Expand the Target System Adapter (FM9x-G4-A for example)

#5 Open Dimension folder

#6 Find View dimension and right-click, go to Properties

#7 Enable/Activate this dimension by checking the "Active" box and hit OK

#8 Go to FDM on the web and log in to the Application

#9 Go to the Import Format for the location you want to load as Periodic

#10 In the Import Format Details, click on Add to add new field and choose 'View' in the drop-down list

#11 In the expression field of 'View', type 'Per' or 'Periodic' (depending on how it appears in target system)
