SYMPTOMS

Load processing of data files have failed 2 out of 3 times for unknown cause, each time a physical reboot of the server was needed to correct issue.

The FDM user who is running the batch error log shows:

Issue Clarification

CAUSE

The error is occuring with the localization of the FM11x-G5-E adapter in the application.

 ERROR:
  Code............ Public member 'BOF' on type 'String' not found.
  Description..... Public member 'BOF' on type 'String' not found.
  Procedure....... clsFMAdapter.mIntializeGlobalStrings

The adapter localization script is stored in the FDM application database and if corrupt will return an error such as this.
 

SOLUTION

A) Login to the FDM application via the workbench client
B) Expand Out Target System Adapters and right-Click on the FM11x-G5-E adapter and choose "delete"
C) Choose File > Import and select the FM11xG5E.xml file and choose "open"
D) Click "Select all" and click OK
E) Expand out the FM11x-G5-E adapter > Machine Profiles and right-click and choose "Add Machine Profile"
F) Enter the FDM application server as the source machine and the HFM Cluster name as the target machine and click OK
G) Right-Click on the adapter and choose "options". Populate the HFM Application Name option with the HFM Application that FDM will load to and save
H) Populate the remaining HFM Adapter options accordingly and save.
